Why I started The Mindful Hustle

There are so many topics that drive me and confuse me on a daily basis. And there are a lot of topics that I do not or haven’t felt comfortable discussing or even showing for a long time. I thought I needed to show everyone that I am as close to perfect as possible, constantly improving and beating myself up for not being perfect enough. Even starting this blog feels risky, it feels like I am making myself vulnerable to the world or at least to the internet. But one thing I have learned in the past is this: how can I expect anything from the person across from me, if I am not willing to give that myself. So here I am – finding my own version of success, vulnerably and out loud.

I have discussed with myself for a long time how I wanted to show up as a person in my private life and in business life. Is there a difference between the business Anna and the private Anna? How much do I want to stand for and fight for my values, my beliefs and moral righteousness? How much energy am I willing to spend on this? How much can I not care? Who am I in the roles I take on? All these questions have accompanied me for a while. They have taken quite a bit of energy. And I have seen what it means to work with humans, to treat everyone with respect, with the possibility that mistakes happen and with the belief that everyone is trying their best. I am challenging a lot of it, with myself and my colleagues on a daily basis. Covered in jokes, addressed to real people from a person without judgement just with an honest question for reflection. And my learning has been that it builds bridges. That emotions connect us. Without compromising value. Without compromising success. Even without compromising speed at times. Often times it means becoming faster because there is the trust that mistakes are part of being human. Knowing, that mistakes are only such until we have improved upon them. Instead of covering them up.

This blog is my attempt to extend that space. To show that vulnerability is not weakness – it’s the foundation of real connection and real success. It is for vulnerability. For ambition. For the messy middle between where we are and where we want to be. So stay tuned. And if any of this resonates – you’re in the right place.
